The red dots in this map represent all of the known locations of Tennessee's rare plants, including the 21 federally endangered or threatened plants. Unfortunately, we only
have a handful of botanists and ecologists officially managing these species. If we want to prevent the local extinction of our rare plants, it'll require a collaborative effort from many different partners including public agencies, botanical gardens, nurseries, nonprofits, universities, and anyone else interested in rare plant conservation.
What we need is an alliance!
